Behavioral eManipulation: Attacking via Care Delivery Workflows

Posted on in Presentations

This session will introduce the concept of Behavioral eManipulation (BeM), the method of utilizing technical exploits to manipulate human behavior, in order to leverage process workflows to deliver attack payload. This session will examine this concept in the context of healthcare, exploring how device exploits can manipulate physician behavior, in ways that result in patient harm.

Learning Objectives:
1: Learn about the intersection of technical exploits and social engineering.
2: Learn how exploits on medical devices can manipulate physician behavior.
3: Learn how attackers can leverage care workflows to deliver payload.
