This panel will focus on recent trends in the emerging global patchwork of privacy and cybersecurity regulations. The panel will explore how recent laws may affect issues including big data, adoption of AI, targeted advertising and consumer litigation; discuss the influence of the GDPR on recent US legislation; and consider how companies can best respond to the policy developments to come.

Learning Objectives:
1: Understand emerging themes in recent legislation and regulatory regimes for privacy and security.
2: Learn what issues enjoy a common regulatory focus to help organizations with compliance.
3: Find out what the regulators’ policy objectives are in different regimes.

Pre-Requisites:
Attendees should have a very basic understanding of major foreign and domestic privacy and security legislation, especially those which may govern their industry.
